Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin in Down Under

Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin are finally entering a new, mature episode in their career as they play more worldly characters in their first film as a couple, ‘Down Under.’

The two hot stars admitted during the movie’s story conference the other day that their new assignment will signal a new phase in their careers as actors. Piolo and Angel will show their sexy, bold side in this film, confirmed director Rory Quintos.

‘The love scenes will be hot,’ said Quintos. The two actors feigned surprise at what their director said, adding that the love scenes had not been discussed as yet.

‘Down Under’ casts Angel in the part of a cowgirl under the employment of a ranch owned by Piolo’s character. Quintos said little is known about the existence of cowboys and girls in the Philippines, explaining that in parts of Bukidnon (Malaybalay and Pasugong), there are ranches that employ such workers.

Quintos’ new film, in fact, will kick off shooting in Bukidnon and then hie off to Darwin, Australia for the second and final part of the shoot.

At the informal conference, Angel informed she and Piolo have been taking riding lessons. She had fallen once during a session, thank God it wasn’t so bad. Angel acknowledged that drama films with a touch of action are going to be her forte.

Asked about her old contract with Regal Films, the actress said it is being taken cared of. Angel won’t be seen in another teleserye just yet as she’ll focus on this her first film with Piolo and for Star Cinema.
