We are the Ultimate Isla Havaianaticos!
A very big break for summer has come and was ultimately enjoying for me and for the rest of the havaianaticos! First and for most, I would like to share how I was able to join this ultimate summer island adventure.
On my birthday, Roy and Au gave me a gift — a pair of Havaianas flip flops. Few days after that, we went to Blugre and in a sudden, a waiter spotted me with my havaianas and approached me and gave this flyer below.
I was very busy the whole week so I didn’t have that much time to spend to make an essay. The good thing is I suddenly feel that urge to write an essay stating why I love my Havaianas inspite of being sleepy. Luckily, I still made it to the submission deadline, it was 10 minutes left before the deadline. That was 11:50 PM last March 14, Saturday!
A call from Tish on Monday (March 16) changed my day and the rest of my week. She called me up to inform me that my essay was chosen and must be attending the winners’ complementary dinner on Wednesday (March 18) for some meeting and must also bring a friend with me. Of course, that would be no less other than Rap. From that night on, I got the chance to meet all other 9 winners because there are 10 winning entries out of 100s, different media guests and of course, Ms. Tish and Ms. Marga Nograles who spearheaded the event.
So, the wait is over as the day for the ultimate island adventure has come, March 21 Saturday! Weeee. Bali Bali Resort, here we come! Btw, for this island adventure: Bali-Bali Resort is the official Isla Havaianatico!
So to continue, there are 5 teams: Green, Orange, Red, Yellow and Blue. We are the GreenTeam! The official time of the event to begin is 7am but we went there 5:30am trying to bag the early bird prize. Hehe. Due to some surprising happenings and to cut it short, the management decided that Orange, Green and Red Team be declared as the Early Bird Teams! Weee, and guess what is our prize for that? A new pair of Havaianas flip flops and extra 2 points in the game.
The point system is 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 consecutively according to your rank and there are 5 Challenges namely:
- RUN - We ranked 4th here so we scored - 2pts.!
- GATHER - We ranked 1st and scored 5pts and a special prize: A Whole Body Massage!
- SWIM - We ranked 2nd and scored 4 points!
- HUNT - We ranked 3rd and scored 3 points!
(Brazilian Lunch Buffet — IMHO, this is the real challenge…. hehehe!)
5. CHEER - We ranked 1st, scored 5 points and this final challenge was really a “make or break” situation for us because after the 4 challenges — We, the Green team and Orange team are tie with 14 points and are leading!
Thank God, we ranked 1st and we made it! We are the Ultimate Isla Havaianaticos!
And as the champion team, we bagged this great, great Havaianas prizes:
- P20,000
- Isla Havaianatico Trophy
- 4 Gift Certificates to All Flip Flops
- A Havaianas Gift Bag (Limited Edition towel, slipper magnet, keychain)
- 1 Pair of Havaianas Flip Flops (as the early bird prize winner)
- Whole Body Massage (for winning the 2nd challenge)

Of course, I shouldn’t forget to express my heartfelt gratitude to the people behind this ultimate island adventure! Well, the complementary dinner, the trip to Bali-Bali and sumptuous Brazilian lunch buffet is already a big win for all of us. So, I would like to say thank you to Ms. Marga, Tish, Febs and to all Martish Marketing Team for giving us this opportunity to enjoy and for this really great summer adventure for a lifetime!
