Are we just going to stare and see what happens next?

Summer in America finally kicks off but then it’s a big consideration these days whether or not a small business owner should even take a vacation. How about the President? Should he even have?
Well, just a few hours ago, a news written by Brett Blackledge tells that ”President Barack Obama is promising to deliver more than 600,000 jobs through his $787 billion stimulus plan this summer, repackaging a pledge the administration made weeks earlier as the economy continues to lose hundreds of thousands of jobs each month.”
But it doesn’t sounded as easy as it may be. There are opposed opinions to that stimulus spending plan of the administration.
Obama spotlighted billions in federal agency spending planned this summer in an announcement Monday designed to draw attention to his stimulus program. Much of the spending he announced already was in the works, including hundreds of maintenance projects at military bases, about 1,600 state road and airport improvements, and federal money states budgeted for 135,000 teachers, principals and school support staff.
Obama’s promise to create large numbers of jobs — a vow that Vice President Joe Biden made last month — quickly drew criticism from oponents and economists who have argued his stimulus plan thus far hasn’t delivered.
“I think these estimates are overly optimistic,” said Arpitha Bykere, a senior analyst with RGE Monitor.
IMHO, Arpitha is right that those are really optimistic views from the US President to actually create those huge number of jobs for summer but don’t you think this optimism is what we actually need right now? After all, every success always start with setting optimistic goals.
Okay, so now I’m into those goals. The real situation now we must take care of is how President Obama will realize this, materialize this plan and actually create those jobs?
I am thinking that I wish it would be very easy to train everyone else to just start their own small business and stop for dreaming a white collar job they wished or they used to have. Why not?
Now, how about in PH (Philippines)? Summer is over yet the officials we elected seems to be still enjoying their vacations. Hmmm… (thinking)
Why I can’t seem to hear any news such as this? I can’t even hear a single optimistic statement or plan from our valuable President. Our local and national news stations are really very busy reporting stuff like the Con-Ass issues, Hyden Kho-Katrina scandal, the ALC for the 2010 Presidentiable elections, the A(h1n1) cases, entertainment and celebrity news like Ruffa and John Lloyd humored affair.
Hey, what’s up? How about we tackle how to start a small business or perhaps plans or actions our President or anyone of us is doing to help win over these severe poverty and unemployment problems of the country? Where are all these?
Are we just going to stare and see what happens next? If you’re clueless, you’re not excuse!

@rgbconnections, Yeah. I can feel that too. Well, it was just by impulse that I decided to share my opinion about our current situation. It’s kinda frustrating that important issues of the country are not given the priority to be discussed.

I feel the same way girlopinion, it looks like our country will stay as it is for a long time. Leaders are too busy on their campaign right now, you can’t imagine how many millions they spent on one TV ads. So don’t expect any progress, this is the usual pattern here in our country.

Yes. That’s what made it really frustrating Hen. Our country is in dire need of a major makeover.

Yes. Thanks for sympathizing with me. I’m still hopeful though.
