Last Sunday, we were once again astounded by the great fight between Pacquiao and Cotto. We had witnessed a whooping 12 rounds of intense action and amazing fight. Both fighters had given their best in the ring, but there should be one and only winner. Manny Pacquiao has once again brought the Filipino banner on the pedestal as he defeated Cotto on that fight.
The fight between Pacquiao and Cotto has created history in the boxing industry. Through that fight, Manny Pacquiao became the first ever boxer who has won seven world championships in seven weight divisions. Manny Pacquiao is now a certified Septuple champion. In boxing, septuple champion refers to a boxer who has won 7 different titles from 7 different categories.

- WBC Flyweight
Pacquiao won this title on December 4, 1998. His opponent for this title is Chatchai Sasakul, a boxer from Thailand.
2. IBF Super bantamweight
This title has been acquired on June 23, 2001 when Pacquiao fought with South African national Lehlohonolo Ledwaba
3. The Ring Featherweight
Who can forget the November 15, 2003 fight of Manny Pacquiao against the Mexican Marco Antonio Barrera? This fight brought Manny The Ring Featherweight title.
4. WBC Super featherweight /The Ring Super featherweight
On March 15, 2008, the tension had once again sprouted between Filipino and Mexican as Pacquiao fought against Juan Manuel Marquez. Of course, Pacquiao won the fight as well as the fourth world title.
5. WBC Lightweight
Pacquiao won his 5th title on June 28, 2008. He fought against David Diaz of United States
6. The Ring Junior welterweight
The 6th title has been acquired during his fight with British fighter from United Kingdom, Ricky Hatton. That was on May 2, 2009
7. WBO Welterweight
And of course, the latest fight with Miguel Angel Cotto of Puerto Rico on November 14, 2009 brought the 7th world title to Manny Pacquiao
With these 7 world titles, Manny Pacquiao is still on the verge of his fighting moment. According to brouhahas, Pacquaio’s next opponent would me Floyd Mayweather. This is not yet confirmed but if Pacquiao aims for the 8th world title, then Pacquiao-Mayweather fight won’t be possible. If Pacquiao decides to fight for the 8th title, his possible opponent would be Yuri Foreman and they will fight for the title WBA super welterweight.
