The Myths of Facebook Marketing

“Marketing using Facebook alone will help you get clients and customers.”
The statement above is actually too good to be true. This is one of the most common misconceptions of small business owners with Facebook. The big questions here is, Is it really possible to get clients and customers by just being in Facebook? Surprisingly, Yes. However, do not expect that money will keep rolling into your pocket by simply creating and enhancing a Facebook profile. No wonder a lot of business owners end up discouraged with Facebook, after investing so much time on Facebook they’re not getting any positive feedback. The reason behind is because there has been a misuse of Facebook in marketing. It should be best to inspect first if Facebook fits into your overall marketing pictures, otherwise it will create mismatch and will lead to nothing but simply a waste of time.
You are putting consumers’ needs and demands out there, and this should be justified with the content of your business. Facebook can be a medium to build a relationship with your potential customers through words of mouth. This should be the stage to let your customers know about your business, to determine the likes and dislikes of your market and to gain their trust. Eventually, this will lead traffic to your business and hopefully will generate sales. That is the real process of Facebook marketing. It is not instant money but is worth investing your time if and only if you are using the tool correctly.
Do not expect that the people you are dealing with in Facebook will buy from you right away. They even won’t buy at first visit to your website. Do not be frustrated as you are still on the process of gaining their trust. Use Facebook to strengthen your customer’s familiarity to your business and build up credibility.
Always remember that there is no such thing as overnight success in Facebook or even to other social media. But with constant and proper use, you can eventually get the sales you wanted.
