The postponement of Pacquiao-Mayweather fight has saddened the boxing fans all over the world. This could have been the most thrilling event in the boxing history. After all the meetings and negotiations, both parties did not come up with a deal. The proposed fight has been derailed by the disagreements over the drug testing program.
But this is not yet the end of our boxing champ’s journey. Top Rank CEO Bob Arum closed a deal for Pacquiao to fight with Joshua Clottey. The fight will be held in Dallas at Cowboy Stadium on March 13, 2010. The ring will be placed at the 50-yard line.
Pacquiao and Clottey will formally sign the contract in the next few days. Bob Arum has issued already a memorandum with each fighter. So this is something that we should expect.
The fight will be on pay-per-view, several large media companies have expressed their interest for the pay-per-view, but Arum is trying to make a deal with HBO.
