Midnight Friday, that is the deadline set by promoter Bob Arum to Floyd Mayweather Jr. last week to show up and provide statement regarding his decision to the proposed November 13 fight with Boxing Champion Manny Pacquiao. But no Floyd Mayweather Jr appears on the deadline, not even a representative. The bottomline, Mayweather has ignored the deadline and did not show any intention to pursue the bout with Pacquiao.
This could be a very disheartening situation for all boxing fans out there as they left hanged on the excitement of what should suppose to be the Fight of the Century. Promoter Bob Arum was left with no other choice but to find an alternative fighter to replace Mayweather for the November 13 event. Manny Pacquiao may have to settle for Cotto or Margarito, not less but it could have been better should Mayweather has enough courage to face Pacquiao on the ring.
Bob Arum will arrange things with Cotto and Margarito, but the deal is not yet close. Mayweather can show up anytime should he decide to make it up with Pacquiao. While they are still picking for either Cotto or Margarito, Mayweather still has the chance to show up.
Mayweather’s camp chose to remain silent. For whatever reason why Mayweather did not show up on the deadline, we don’t know yet, but it could be for good reason
A fight with Margarito or Cotto could be very interesting too. This can possibly earn Pacquiao the 8th world title. But a lot of things may set to happen along the way. If you want to know the latest about the November 13th fight, feel free to SUBSCRIBE HERE.
